Since the fifth wave of the COVID-19 outbreak in Hong Kong, the senior executives of Sinochem Holdings has attached great importance to it and immediately conveyed the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on supporting Hong Kong to fight against the fifth wave of COVID-19. Sinochem Hong Kong (Group) Co., Ltd. (“Sinochem HK” or “the Company”) actively implemented and fully supported the anti-epidemic work of the HKSAR government. By donating medical supplies, providing medical services for employees and actively participating in voluntary services, Sinochem HK fought against the epidemic and overcome difficulties together with all walks of life in Hong Kong. Recently, Sinochem HK received a Thank-You Letter from the Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association, expressing the gratitude to Sinochem HK for its active cooperation and support for the anti-epidemic work of the HKSAR government and its positive contributions to the stable development of Hong Kong.
As the deputy Chair unit of the Commerce and Trade Committee of the Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association, Sinochem HK, on the one hand took up the social responsibilities of Chinese enterprises and fully supported the epidemic prevention and anti-epidemic work of HKSAR government. Sinochem HK, together with other members of the Committee, donated 3,200 COVID-19 test kits and 6,000 masks. These anti-epidemic supplies were donated to the " Hong Kong Community Anti-Coronavirus Link" to provide high-risk groups such as grassroots, senior citizens living alone in Hong Kong in order to alleviate imminent hardships in the society. On March 4, Sinochem HK once again donated a batch of Lianhua Qingwen Capsules, N95 masks and other anti-epidemic supplies to the Hong Kong communities that were in need.
On the other hand, Sinochem HK actively implemented its own epidemic prevention work to the ensure the physical and mental health of employees as well as the stable operation of the Company. The Company has purchased rapid test kits and medicines in batches for employees in Hong Kong. Through taking part in the anti-epidemic work of the city, the pressure on public health resources could be alleviated. In addition, Sinochem HK volunteer team members actively signed up for the Hong Kong community Anti-Coronavirus Link activities and assisted in coordination and distribution of anti-epidemic supplies.
